Frequently Asked Questions
Magicians never ever ever reveal their secrets. But I can say that all I do is to trick your minds and eyes to see what I want them to see. All of my tricks are done through misdirection, physics, chemistry and psychology.
No, the Bible doesn't condemn theatrical magic. We claim that we have no power at all. That all we are doing is tricking your minds and eyes. The confusion over this problem of semantics (study of meaning) is that English is a very imprecise language. The same word can have multiple meanings that are completely unrelated. For example, "bank" can refer to either a place to keep money or the side of a river. You have to look at the context of how the word is used to determine which definition is intended.
The same is true of the word "magic". One definition of the word involves attempts to forecast or control events through the use of supposed supernatural powers. This is clearly condemned by scripture.
Another definition is the art of using natural causes, whose operation is secret, to produce surprising results.
When looking at the Bible, it is usually easy to tell from the context what "magic" practices are being condemned. When there is any doubt, we can refer to the original Greek or Hebrew words. Those languages are generally much more precise than English, and make it clear what practices it is talking about. Nowhere does the Bible condemn theatrical magic, like what I do. As a Christian entertainer, I am careful to ensure that audiences clearly understand that there are no supernatural powers involved in what I do.
